Ένα από τα πιο συχνά ερωτήματα που μας κάνουν είναι το ποιοί είναι οι καλύτεροι τρόποι για να προωθήσει κάποιος το site του.

Οι απόψεις ποικίλουν και κανένας μαρκετίστας δεν συμφωνεί με τον άλλο απόλυτα.

Παρόλα αυτά υπάρχουν κάποιες τεχνικές που αποδεδειγμένα βοηθούν στην προώθηση ενός site και την αύξηση της επισκεψιμότητας του.

Οι τεχνικές αυτές διαφέρουν ανάλογα με το αν μιλάμε για εντελώς καινούριο site, αν μιλάμε για ένα site που ήδη βρίσκεται κάπου στα αποτελέσμα του Google ή αν μιλάμε για τη συντήρηση της καλής επισκεψιμότητας ενός site.

Το Facebook αλλάζει από σήμερα αρκετές παρμέτρους που έχουν να κάνουν με την ιδιωτικότητα των χρηστών.

Πολλές από αυτές τις αλλαγές είναι για το καλό των χρηστών αλλά θα έχουν συνέπειες σε όσους χρησιμοποιούσαν συγκεκριμένες τεχνικές για να αξιοποιήσουν τα κενά privacy του Facebook...

Ας δουμε το email που μας έστειλαν σήμερα (όπως και σε χιλιάδες διαφημιστές μέσα στο Facebook):

Starting today, Facebook will:

*	Provide an easy-to-use "master" control that enables users to set who can see the content they share through Facebook. This enables users to choose, with just one click, the overall privacy level they're comfortable with for the content they share on Facebook. Of course, users can still use all of the granular controls we've always offered, if they wish.
*	Significantly reduce the amount of information that must be visible to everyone on Facebook. Facebook will no longer require that users' friends and connections are visible to everyone. Only Name, Profile Picture, Networks and Gender must be publicly available. Users can opt to make all other connections private.
*	Make it simple to control whether other applications and websites access any user information. While a majority of our users love Facebook apps and Facebook-enhanced websites, some may prefer not to share their information outside of Facebook. Users can now opt out with just one click.

Τι Είναι Το Latent Semantic Indexing;

Οι περισσότεροι άνθρωποι τείνουν να ανησυχούν όταν πρόκειται για θέματα όπως SEO, δημιουργία links και LSI. Αυτοί οι όροι έχουν την τάση να μπερδεύουν τους ανθρώπους και δεν ξέρουν για τι πράγμα μιλάνε.

Αυτοί οι όροι είναι άγνωστοι στους περισσότερους ανθρώπους και δυστυχώς έχουμε την τάση να κρυβόμαστε από τα πράγματα που δεν ξέρουμε ούτε κατανοούμε. Άλλοι πάλι έχουν μια διαστρεβλωμένη αντίληψη για το τι σημαίνει SEO ή link building.

Λένε ότι η άγνοια είναι ευτυχία και σε μερικές περιπτώσεις είναι, αλλά στην περίπτωση αυτή δεν είναι. Όταν αρχίσουμε να μιλάμε για πράγματα που δεν έχουν καμία ανάμνηση τείνουν να απενεργοποιήσετε και να σταματήσει να ακούτε. Για παράδειγμα, πόσοι άνθρωποι ξέρουν για το LSI και πως μπορεί να ωφελήσει το site τους;

To LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) είναι αρκετά πολύπλοκο επιστημονικά. Αποτελεί πατέντα της Google. Το πρώτο πρόβλημα με το LSI είναι ότι υπάρχουν πάρα πολλές παρανοήσεις σχετικά με αυτό. Για παράδειγμα, το πρώτο και βασικό πρόβλημα είναι ότι κάποιοι ισχυρίζονται ότι δεν υπάρχει και είναι μύθος!

Η LSI ή LSA είναι ένας απλός μαθηματικός αλγόριθμος ή εξίσωση που χρησιμοποιείται για να καθορίσει πόσο σημαντικό και σχετικό είναι ένα τμήμα του κειμένου, ή πόσο σημαντικό και σχετικό είναι με το θέμα, την επικεφαλίδα, ή τις λέξεις-κλειδιά της αναζήτησης. Με το LSI οι μηχανές αναζήτησης "καταλαβαίνουν" ποιες λέξεις είναι συνώνυμες ή ποιες λέξεις συνυπάρχουν σαν έννοιες (πχ ηχεια-μουσική). Μια πρώτη έκδοση του αλγορίθμου είχει δημιουργηθεί τη δεκαετία του 80 με το όνομα LSA. Το LSI είναι μετεξέλιξη του LSA και είναι προσαρμοσμένο στις ανάγκες των μηχανών αναζήτησης.

Δεν υφίσταται κάτι σαν βελτιστοποίηση για LSI, μιας και το LSI είναι καθαρά μια έννοια.

Γιατί το LSI μας κάνει τι ζωή πιο εύκολη; Γιατί δεν χρειάζεται ποια να δίνουμε έμφαση στο πόσες φορές εμφανίζεται η λέξη-κλειδί στο κείμενο της ιστοσελίδας. Μπορούμε άνετα να χρησιμοποιήσουμε πάραγωγες ή συνώνυμες λέξεις π.χ. φως, λαμπα, φωτιστικο...

Βασική αρχή: Μην χρησιμοποιείτε την ίδια λέξη-κλειδί πολλές φορές μέσα στο κείμενο, σε βαθμό που γίνεται αφύσικο για έναν αναγνώστη. Κάντε βελτιστοποίηση για τον άνθρωπο αναγνώστη και όχι για το ρομπότ του Google. Χρησιμοποιείστε τις λέξεις-κλειδιά αλλά και σχετικές λέξεις και συνώνυμα.
